project responsibilities

Over a 4 year period I worked as a lead product designer across multiple brands for CoStar Group; which included building expansions for their CoStar Suite, Student Housing, STR Hospitality, New Homes (Homes.com), and more. Work spanned cross functional collaboration among their Washington, D.C., and being a key initial hire in their Atlanta, GA offices. While working directly under Andy Florence and Jay Spivey, I helped manage the production, communication, presentation, and delivery of over a billion dollars worth of business.

CSGP Case Study

This case study covers the largest projects during my 4 year stint at CoStar Group, but also includes work such as assisting in building and developing the COSMOS design system, research and analytics, and tasks that fall under experience as design leadership.

The Problem

As the product suite rapidly expanded, growth outpaced design structure and processes. Each team operated under different managers with inconsistent standards, creating silos in workflows, communication breakdowns, and recurring deadline fatigue. Without a unified design system, product experiences lacked cohesion, accessibility, and scalability, making it difficult to deliver consistent value to users while keeping pace with business demands.

The Approach

I led efforts to establish clarity and consistency across the product ecosystem. This included designing and launching a scalable component library and building a unified design system (“Cosmos”) to ensure responsive and accessible experiences. I introduced structured processes, agile sprint cycles, and cross-team forums to align stakeholders, foster collaboration, and create shared accountability. These initiatives reduced inefficiencies, improved communication, and provided a framework for both immediate delivery goals and long-term scalability.

The Impact

The shift from fragmented workflows to a cohesive design system transformed how teams collaborated and delivered. The new design standards streamlined product releases, enabled teams to work more efficiently, and created consistency across platforms. By embedding scalable processes and fostering a collaborative design culture, I helped position the company to meet rapid expansion demands while improving usability, accessibility, and overall user experience.
